Just To Be Clear…
I had someone ask me if I got the new iPhone. No, I have not.
Along with the new 3G iPhone, Apple released a free software update for the old phones. One of the benefits of this software update is that you can now install applications on the phone and a lot of these apps are free.
One of the applications just released is from Wordpress and it allows people to blog from their mobile phone. Pretty cool.
I am still not sure how much I will use it. However, I think there might be some benefit to it. It will allow me to send in quick updates when I am away from my computer. It reminds me alot of when I used to send in mobile updates to my Tumblr blog. That was fun because it was immediate and spontaneous.
Anyway, no new phone here, but I am happy with this new software update.
I’ll go ahead and share another picture from my phone while I am here.

iPhone Test
This is a test of the emergency broadcast system. Actually, it’s a test of writing a post from my phone.
This application is kind of neat, but I don’t see me using it very often. I guess it would be nice in a pinch or if I am sitting in the south of France and wanting to let you know how the flight over was in my Gulfsream 650 or what I am dining on for lunch. I am sure that would be of great interest you!
Oh well, lunch is over. Back to the 100 degree heat, which I think is making me delusional.
Ciao!

iPhone 3G
I got to personally look at my first iPhone 3G this week. This is the second generation of Apple’s iPhone and all I can say is wow! Despite opening day activation issues and long lines, most of the news around the globe seems to be good. They have definitely made an impression within the cellphone market. Whether or not they ultimately succeed, they have woken up a sleeping industry. If money were no object, I would have one in my hands now. For now, I am just enjoying all the hype, watching people get excited over a phone and wondering what Apple has up their sleeve next.
