What A Week…
The week started off with me not feeling well, then Deb began to really struggle with her MS (she is still pretty tired). Throw in a bunch of soccer, school (class and meetings), church and then finally Friday having a tornado touch down in the city we both work in and let’s just say I am thankful we made it through this week relatively unscathed.
I was getting really frustrated because we had gotten behind with cleaning our home again. There’s a lot that needs to be done, but we just haven’t been able to get to it. Well, today a lot of people, not too far from us, lost their homes or their home was severely damaged. So I guess a bit of dirt and clutter isn’t so bad after all. That’s the closest call to a tornado we have had in awhile and I wasn’t expecting it at all. I am not sure if I just missed the warning or if the severity caught everyone off guard. Interestingly, Debbie and I both arrived back from lunch just a few minutes before the storm hit, literally within minutes. It just came out of nowhere. I guess with everything else going on I just wasn’t paying attention, like I should have been.
Tomorrow the kids have a day adventure that they are going on with the church. So, Deb and I have a “date day” planned together. We probably should work to get the house in order, but I think we are just going to go to breakfast together and relax for the day. We need to get away even if it is only for 8 hours. That’s the plan anyway. It very well may change by tomorrow. I am just very thankful we still have the option and aren’t having to rebuild our home.
So, heading to bed and looking forward to tomorrow. Hopefully, all the rain will be gone and we will have a beautiful, sunny day.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
